Veterans deserve betterthan what exists.

The claims industry is broken. Predatory companies charge thousands. AI tools hallucinate regulations and mishandle your data. We built VCS because veterans deserve accurate, secure, and affordable access to the benefits they've earned.

Three problems. One platform built to fix all of them.

The system is designed to be navigated, not explained. Veterans are entitled to disability compensation, GI Bill education, VA home loans, state-specific programs, PACT Act presumptives, secondary conditions, dependent benefits, and more. Most access a fraction of what they've earned — not because they don't deserve it, but because no one told them it existed. The VA, state agencies, DoD programs, and VSOs each hold a piece of the picture. None of them show you the full view.

The “help” that exists is either free and overwhelmed, or expensive and predatory. VSOs are incredible organizations staffed by people who genuinely care — but they're overworked, understaffed, and booked out for weeks. On the other end, a growing industry of claims consulting companies charges veterans $1,000, $3,000, sometimes $5,000+ for services that amount to filling out forms and reading regulations. They prey on urgency and confusion. Veterans shouldn't have to choose between waiting months for a free appointment or paying a mortgage payment for help that should be accessible.

AI tools in this space get things dangerously wrong — and mishandle your most sensitive data. We've seen other platforms hallucinate CFR citations that don't exist, fabricate diagnostic codes, and confidently give veterans wrong information about rating criteria, appeal deadlines, and eligibility rules. Getting it wrong costs real money and real time. Worse, many of these tools have no data security to speak of — no encryption, no audit trails, no business associate agreements. They ask you to paste your medical conditions and service records into a chatbot with no meaningful protection for your personal health information.

“What if we could build something that's accurate, secure, and affordable — all at once? That was the question. VCS is the answer.”

— VCS Founding Team

We built the platform we wished existed.

AI that can't lie about the law

Our AI advisor (AIDEN) is backed by 40+ hand-verified regulatory facts from 38 CFR and USC — citations checked against the actual source. When AI generates a response, verified facts take absolute priority. If the AI hallucinates a citation, the verified fact overrides it. Every response cites its sources so you can check the regulation yourself. We'd rather say “I'm not sure” than give you wrong information.

Your data protected like it matters

All infrastructure runs on BAA-covered AWS (Business Associate Agreement — the HIPAA standard for health data). Your sensitive fields are encrypted with AES-256-GCM at rest. Every data access is logged to an immutable audit trail. PHI-containing documents are processed through HIPAA-compliant AI pipelines, never through consumer-grade APIs. We don't sell your data. We don't share it with advertisers. We don't train AI models on it. Your medical conditions, ratings, and service records are yours — period.

$4.99/month because access matters

Claims consulting companies charge $1,000+. Other AI tools charge $30–50/month with no accuracy guarantees and no data protection. We charge $4.99 because we'd rather break even and serve every veteran than build a product that only people with money can access. The AI models powering AIDEN are expensive to run — that's the only reason it isn't free. A 10% rating increase can mean $200+ more per month in compensation, for life. Access to the right information shouldn't depend on what you can afford.

Our core values

Advocacy First

Veterans navigated war zones without adequate preparation — they should never have to navigate a fragmented benefits system alone. Every feature we build is an act of advocacy for everything you've earned.

We measure success not by revenue but by benefits unlocked — compensation secured, education dollars accessed, housing programs found, healthcare enrollments completed. Our AI advocates on your behalf, across every benefit category, 24 hours a day.

Radical Transparency

No hidden fees, no confusing disclaimers, no fine print that works against you. We explain exactly what we know, what we don't know, and why we're recommending each action.

We're transparent about our AI's capabilities and its limits. We cite regulatory sources, surface confidence levels, and flag ambiguity rather than project false certainty. Veterans deserve honest partners — not another system that leaves them guessing.

Relentless Accuracy

A wrong answer about your benefits costs real money and real time. Our AI is trained on 38 CFR, VASRD, M21-1, GI Bill eligibility rules, state benefit programs, and thousands of BVA decisions — and we never stop improving.

Every benefits analysis goes through multiple validation layers. Whether it's a disability rating, a housing allowance calculation, or a VR&E eligibility determination — precision is the standard. We surface the source so you can verify everything yourself.

Education Over Dependence

We don't want veterans to need us forever. We want to teach the system well enough that every veteran who uses Veteran Claim Services walks away more capable of advocating for themselves.

Our platform explains the why behind every recommendation. Understanding how combined ratings work, how BAH is calculated, what PACT Act exposure you qualify for — these are skills we actively build in you.

Community of Service

The same values that define military service — looking out for the person next to you — define how we operate. Veterans have always taken care of their own. That principle is wired into everything we build.

We publish free guides for veterans who can't afford premium plans, actively surface VSO resources alongside our own tools, and treat every piece of user feedback as a direct mission briefing. The community makes the platform better.

Continuous Improvement

The benefits landscape is not static. PACT Act expanded eligibility overnight. GI Bill rules shift. State programs launch. We ship updates constantly so our intelligence reflects the current and most favorable regulatory landscape.

Our team monitors every VA policy change, BVA precedent, Congressional update, and state legislative session that could affect veteran eligibility. Your benefits intelligence is always current — not frozen at some prior-year snapshot.

How VCS compares to what's out there

We built VCS because the existing options fail veterans — either by charging too much, getting things wrong, or both.

Why $4.99 and not free? Here's exactly where your money goes.

We believe in radical transparency. Other companies hide their margins. We'll show you ours. Here's what it actually costs us to serve one Pathfinder subscriber per month:

What it pays forMonthly cost
AI model API — powers every conversation
Each message costs ~$0.04 in AI compute. 50 messages = $2.20.
~$2.20
Knowledge base embeddings (RAG search)
Searches 38 CFR regulations and VA policy to ground every response.
~$0.30
AWS infrastructure (servers, database, storage)
HIPAA-compliant hosting, PostgreSQL, Redis, S3 — shared across users.
~$0.50
Stripe payment processing (2.9% + $0.30)
The payment processor takes a cut of every transaction.
~$0.45
Email, DNS, SSL, monitoring, backups
Transactional email, domain, certificates, health checks, daily backups.
~$0.10
Total cost to serve you~$3.55
Your subscription$4.99
What's left over~$1.44

That $1.44 covers development, bug fixes, regulatory updates when the law changes, security patches, and keeping the platform running. It's not profit — it's survival.

What we will never do: take a percentage of your benefits, sell your data, share it with advertisers, or upsell you on services you don't need. $4.99 keeps the lights on. That's it.

And if even $4.99 is out of reach, the Scout plan is free forever with 5 messages per month — and we'll always point you to VSOs (Veterans Service Organizations) like the VFW, DAV, and American Legion who provide in-person help at no cost. VCS is a complement to those organizations, not a replacement.
